I am very, very sorry to inform his many fans and friends that after a nearly year-long struggle with cancer, Lars Hollmer died on Christmas day. He was a gifted and unique composer/accordionist/keyboardist and general musical hero to those on the ‘wayside’, including myself. I also got to know him a bit from working with him over the last 10 years and he was in addition to all these other attributes, a really good and funny person as well.

Being a huge fan of his work over the many years and loving his music for (among many other qualities) its melodic wistfulness, I can not begin to convey how sadly appropriate I find his death on Christmas to be.

Ghost Theory » Blog Archive » Mysterious image captured by local news crew in Argentina | Paranormal, Ghosts, Cryptids and more

The footage was shot at a cemetery in a province of Argentina called Córdoba.
The Argentinean news crew while reporting on a different matter, manged to capture what appears to be a person walking on the roof of the cemetery.

According to personal and groundskeepers, there was no one at that time on the roof doing repairs or any other checks. The roof is not accessible to regular visitors.

Interesting video, but not enough evidence to call it a “ghost” or to deem it supernatural. However, notice how it moves very unnatural. Almost like it glides.

Brain-Enhancing Drugs: Legalize ‘Em, Scientists Say

If drugs can safely give your brain a boost, why not take them? And if you don’t want to, why stop others? In an era when attention-disorder drugs are regularly — and illegally — being used for off-label purposes by people seeking a better grade or year-end job review, these are timely ethical questions. The latest answer comes from Nature, where seven prominent ethicists and neuroscientists recently published a paper entitled, “Towards a responsible use of cognitive-enhancing drugs by the healthy.” In short: Legalize ’em. “Mentally competent adults,” they write, “should be able to engage in cognitive enhancement using drugs.” Roughly seven percent of all college students, and up to 20 percent of scientists, ha [From Brain-Enhancing Drugs: Legalize ‘Em, Scientists Say | Wired Science from Wired.com]
